Job summary

Firematic, a family-owned business serving those who protect our communities for over 50 years, is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. You will work on automotive, medium and heavy-duty trucks, including EMS division vehicles and related equipment.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with knowledge of diesel engines, a valid CDL B with Air Brakes (or willing to obtain within the first year), and familiarity with current maintenance

Qualifications

• Self-starter with positive can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of Diesel engines preferred.
• Valid CDL B with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year.
• Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred.
• ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus.

WHO WE ARE:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. Perform skilled work in maintaining automotive, medium and heavy-duty trucks, to include all Fire Division and Rescue (EMS) Division vehicles, including small gas engines and other associated equipment.

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Self-starter with positive can-do attitude
• Knowledge of Diesel engines preferred
• Valid class CDL B drivers license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year
• Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred
• ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:00-3:30.

Starting rate $25-35/hr depending on experience and certifications
