Job summary

Firematic is seeking a full-time technician in New York to diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. You will work on automotive, medium and heavy-duty trucks, including EMS vehicles and gas engines.

Requirements include CDL B with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year, knowledge of diesel engines, and a self-starting attitude. ASE/EVT certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with positive can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of Diesel engines preferred.
• Valid class CDL B drivers license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year.
• ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus.
• This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00pm

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. Perform skilled work in maintaining automotive, medium and heavy-duty trucks, to include all Fire Division and Rescue (EMS) Division vehicles, including small gas engines and other associated equipment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Self-starter with positive can-do attitude
• Knowledge of Diesel engines preferred
• Valid class CDL B drivers license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year
• Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred
• ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus
• This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00pm
• Starting rate $28-35/hr depending on experience and certifications
