Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a heavy-duty diesel truck mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain company-owned fleet equipment. The role offers starting pay of $25-$35/hr with overtime after 40 hours and a shift from 5am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, diagnosing and repairing diesel refuse trucks, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and PTO systems, plus performing preventative maintenance to ensure reliable daily

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $25-$35/hr More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level. Shift: 5am-3pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked
