Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic in Midlothian, VA to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $30-$40 per hour, with additional pay based on experience and certifications.

The role involves the 3pm-1:30am shift, overtime after 40 hours, and a benefits package including PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and a 401K after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose, repair and troubleshoot diesel refuse trucks.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Starting Pay: $30-$40/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift

Shift: 3pm-130am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
