Job summary

GFL Environmental in Stanley, Idaho, is hiring a diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy duty trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $25-$35/hr with more pay based on experience and certifications. Shift is 2pm-12am, with overtime after 40 hours.

• Experience with heavy-duty diesel trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to perform preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25-$35/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 2pm-12am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.
