Job summary

GFL Environmental in Ossian, IN is seeking a heavy-duty diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased equipment. The role includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles operate safely.

Starting pay is $25-$35 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on, plus overtime after 40 hours and a $3 per hour shift differential. Benefits include PTO, weekly pay, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and a 401(k) after

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25-$35/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On-paid out in 2 increments

Shift: 1pm-1130pm M-F. OT after 40hrs! $3 Shift Differential
