Pro Truss and Panel, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic/Equipment Mechanic to join our Romulus, MI team. You will inspect semis and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and complete timely repairs to keep our fleet safe and productive.

This role requires strong troubleshooting, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and solid welding skills. You will maintain service records and collaborate with drivers and vendors.

Formación

• 1 year of heavy truck repair experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Deadline and detail oriented.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• CDL preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform inspections on semi-trucks and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules.
• Repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, steering and cooling.
• Conduct annual inspections of trucks and trailers.
• Repair wiring, lighting, brakes, suspension and other components.
• Record services and repairs in vehicle records.
• Keep shop equipment operating by troubleshooting, maintaining supplies and arranging repairs.
• Inventory and order parts; verify receipt.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and build relationships with drivers and vendors.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Pro Truss and Panel, LLC. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing inspections and completing preventive maintenance schedules on semi-trucks and equipment.

Job Duties:

• Perform inspections on semi-trucks and equipment


• Completing preventive maintenance schedules


• Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering and cooling systems.


• Perform truck and trailer annual inspections


• Perform repairs such as wiring, lighting, brakes, suspension, and others


• Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.


• Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.


• Keeps shop equipment operating by; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.


• Keeps supplies and parts ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.


• Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


• Maintain a clean organized work area.


• Build positive relationships with truck drivers and vendor contacts
