Job summary

Riverhead Building Supply is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Rhode Island to diagnose, repair and maintain a range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The role supports onsite service, field work and occasional roadside assistance, with a focus on minimizing downtime and keeping equipment road-ready.

You should have 3+ years hands-on experience on semis, trucks, cars and construction equipment, Own tools, and a valid driver’s license (CDL a bonus).

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and equipment.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair a range of vehicles and machinery.

Qualifications

Diesel Mechanic

Dependable Over 3 years of hands-experience working on diverse equipment such as semi-trucks, light duty trucks, cars, construction equipment and forklifts. Dependable, detail-orientated, and committed to minimizing downtime and keeping equipment road-ready. Comfortable working independently in the field.

• Own tools
• Valid driver’s license, CDL a bonus
• Able to work flexible hours, Overtime as needed
• Customer service skills
• Available as mobile service when needed
• Capable of managing long active hours in workshop setting
• Bending, lifting of heavy parts and physical work involved
• Exposure to outdoors in varying weather conditions

Overview

For compliance purposes for RI transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
