Job summary

Riverhead Building Supply Corp. in New York is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair engines, perform preventative maintenance, and service heavy-duty trucks and equipment. You will work in the field and workshop, with mobile service when needed, flexible hours, and a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with diesel engines and diverse equipment.
• Own tools and valid driver’s license; CDL bonus is a plus.
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Customer service skills and field readiness.
• Capable of long hours in workshop and in the field.
• Outdoor exposure in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

Diesel Mechanic

Dependable Over 3 years of hands-experience working on diverse equipment such as semi-trucks, light duty trucks, cars, construction equipment and forklifts. Dependable, detail-orientated, and committed to minimizing downtime and keeping equipment road-ready. Comfortable working independently in the field.

• Own tools


• Valid driver’s license, CDL a bonus


• Able to work flexible hours, Overtime as needed


• Customer service skills


• Available as mobile service when needed


• Capable of managing long active hours in workshop setting


• Bending, lifting of heavy parts and physical work involved


• Exposure to outdoors in varying weather conditions

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
