Riverhead Building Supply is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair engines, perform preventative maintenance, and service heavy-duty trucks and equipment in the field. The role includes on-site diagnostics and a focus on minimizing downtime.

Candidates should own their tools, have a valid driver’s license (CDL a bonus), and be able to work flexible hours with overtime. Join a team with strong support and opportunities in Rhode Island.

Qualificações

• Dependable hands-on experience with diverse equipment (semi-trucks, trucks, cars, construction equipment, forklifts).
• Comfortable working independently in the field.
• Own tools and a valid driver’s license preferred.

Diesel Mechanic responsibilities include

Job Description

• Engine diagnostics and repair
• Preventative maintenance
• Brake and suspension work
• Transmission diagnosing, removing and rebuilding
• Electrical troubleshooting, wiring and repairs
• Hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders and valves and hoses
• Heavy-duty trucks, trailers and equipment
• Fabricate hoses
• Proficiency with welding, torches etc.
• Roadside emergency
• Onsite diagnostics and repairs

Diesel Mechanic

Dependable Over 3 years of hands-experience working on diverse equipment such as semi-trucks, light duty trucks, cars, construction equipment and forklifts. Dependable, detail-orientated, and committed to minimizing downtime and keeping equipment road-ready. Comfortable working independently in the field.

• Own tools
• Valid driver’s license, CDL a bonus
• Able to work flexible hours, Overtime as needed
• Customer service skills
• Available as mobile service when needed
• Bending, lifting of heavy parts and physical work involved
• Exposure to outdoors in varying weather conditions

Diesel Mechanic

For compliance purposes for RI transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Mechanic Performs work in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
