Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel truck mechanic in Wisconsin to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty trucks and equipment.

The role offers pay ranging from $29 to $35 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and a 2pm-12am shift on weekdays. Responsibilities include daily inspections, diagnosing issues, and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension and PTO components to ensure fleet readiness for daily operation.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy vehicles.
• Knowledge of brakes, suspension and PTO components is preferred.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $29-$35/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 2pm-12am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.
