Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc is seeking a diesel truck mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to keep the fleet in service.

Starting pay is $25-$35 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and a $5K sign-on bonus paid in two increments. The shift is 1pm-11:30pm, Monday to Friday. Benefits include 15 days PTO, weekly pay, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and a 401K after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Diesel trucks maintenance and repair experience required.
• Ability to diagnose issues and troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical/brake systems.
• Willingness to work OT after 40 hours and adapt to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25-$35/hr. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On-paid out in 2 increments

Shift: 1pm-1130pm M-F. OT after 40hrs! $3 Shift Differential
