Job summary

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic at our Omaha, NE Service Center. You will perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers, with duties including preventive maintenance and occasional forklift work.

Earn up to $36.50 per hour, with a benefits package including paid vacation and access to our employee resorts. This role typically follows Monday–Friday shifts with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment including trucks, trailers and related assets.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 vehicles and related equipment.
• Address AC and electrical system issues and other minor to major repairs as needed.

Job Description

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Omaha, NE Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools

Preferred

• 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders
• Class A CDL holder
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
