• Previous work experience with intermediate knowledge of diesel engines.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Employee provides their own tools or must acquire them within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and associated systems.
• Diagnose issues using repair manuals and schematics.
• Work safely in a shop environment.

Skills

Knowledge of gasoline and/or Diesel engines

Understanding of transmissions

Requirements

• Previous work experience with intermediate knowledge of gasoline and/or Diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, drive trains, and electrical systems
• Employee provides own tools (or must acquire them within 90 days of employment)
• Knowledge of working safely in a shop environment and around different types of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including but not limited to standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions and tight areas).
