Qualifications

• Previous work experience with intermediate knowledge of gasoline and/or Diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job including lifting and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform physical repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
• Understand and follow safety protocols in the shop.

Skills

Knowledge of gasoline and/or Diesel engines

Knowledge of air brakes

Knowledge of hydraulics

Ability to read repair manuals

Ability to troubleshoot vehicle failures

Requirements

• Previous work experience with intermediate knowledge of gasoline and/or Diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, drive trains, and electrical systems
• Employee provides own tools (or must acquire them within 90 days of employment)
• Knowledge of working safely in a shop environment and around different types of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including but not limited to standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions and tight areas).
