Job summary

North Cedar Trucking in Mechanicsville, IA is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic to perform Heavy/Medium/Light truck repairs and maintenance. You will inspect and diagnose, perform routine maintenance, and keep detailed service records, all while maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, can work independently or with a team, and holds a valid driver's license with insurability. CDL is preferred, and experience of at least 2 years is favored.

Qualifications

Duties and responsibilities may include: Determining units condition by conducting inspection and diagnostic tests. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Maintain vehicle records with documentation of service and repairs. Using good judgment to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of power tools required to perform all phases of truck/trailer repair and maintenance. Work well independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
