Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on tractors in the fleet. The role also includes diagnostic testing and maintenance for the fleet.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1. Perform repairs on our fleet of trucks and trailers.
2. Possess knowledge of Volvo and Freightliner truck systems.
3. Understand Volvo, Detroit, and Cummins engine diagnostics.
4. Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes.
5. Use maintenance software to manage parts inventory and document completed jobs and maintenance.
6. Collaborate with the shop team to diagnose problems with tractors and complete repairs.
7. Perform diagnostic tests on trucks and trailers.
8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
9. Hold a valid Operator's license with a clean record; a Class A license is required.
10. Serve on an on-call rotation for the shop.

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years of experience.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must have a comprehensive set of tools.
