Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Marietta, Georgia.

  • Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: First shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including:
    • Routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake, and tire work
    • Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred
  • All other certifications required by location
  • Additional requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy and medium-duty repairs and diagnostics
  • Computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
  • Driving Requirements:
  • Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks

Note: Additional location-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle maintenance and repair, including:
    • Standard and preventive maintenance
    • Diagnosing mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
    • Performing detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
    • Replacing defective components
    • Working independently on most tasks
  • Facility maintenance duties
  • Interacting with customers/drivers to determine issues
  • Using shop management systems and electronic documentation
  • Adhering to safety and compliance guidelines
  • Mentoring Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
  • Accessing and using maintenance documents
  • Supporting operations as needed, including service island support
  • Completing SBTIII training within 180 days
  • Completing OEM diagnostic software courses as required
