Job summary

Swift Transportation Company is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic in Los Lunas, NM to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, and support equipment. The role offers an hourly pay range and on-site facility with opportunities for hands-on OEM training and growth.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing repairs to OEM specs, and maintaining equipment to ensure safety and uptime. Benefits include PTO, bonuses, 401(k) match, and comprehensive health plans.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality preventive maintenance inspection and repairs on company-owned equipment including tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to OEM, DOT, Swift specifications.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair for all equipment; disassemble and re-assemble heavy truck & trailer components.

Location: 670 Los Morros rd. Los Lunas, NM 87031

Pay: $22 - $32 (depending on experience)

Shift: Wednesday to Saturday 3pm to 3am and alternate every other Wednesday.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do as a Diesel Mechanic

Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
