Swift Transportation Company in Lancaster, TX is seeking Diesel Mechanics/Technicians to join our team. Location is 3250 N Longhorn, Lancaster, TX 75134. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $33.00 per hour with a Tuesday-Saturday 10AM-6PM shift. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals and repair orders.
• Ability to use and learn diagnostic software used on tractors/trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all company equipment to OEM/DOT/Swift specs.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Disassemble and re-assemble Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance and related tasks.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do as a Diesel Mechanic

Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

• Knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance preferred.
• High School or combination of training and/or experience required.
• Drivers license required.
• Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders.
• Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers.
• Must possess computer skills.
