Position Overview

The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all company vehicles, ensuring safety and efficiency. The position is based in Irvine, CA.

Main Responsibilities

1. Perform preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers as per schedule.
2. Diagnose and repair equipment issues, assisting drivers on the road.
3. Maintain all vehicle systems including engine, electrical, and drive train.
4. Supply and use proper tools, including air tools.
5. Follow safety procedures and ensure a safe work environment.
6. Uphold honesty and integrity in all job duties.

Salary

The hourly rate is $33.56 per hour, with variations based on experience, location, and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy-duty tractor/trailer repair.
• Valid DOT physical card, driver’s license, and possibly refrigerant certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, work in various positions, and operate heavy machinery.
• Ability to work full-time, any shift, and be on call 24/7.

Work Environment

Exposure to hazards such as equipment, chemicals, noise, and weather conditions. Must follow safety protocols and use protective equipment.
