Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a qualified Automotive Mechanic for our Indiana shop.

You will perform diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles, trucks and equipment, while adhering to safety rules and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. You should have 2–3 years of automotive technician experience; ASE certification is a plus; a valid driver's license is required; you must work collaboratively with other team members and be able to handle extended hours and

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results.
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Checking vehicle lighting systems.
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintaining a parts inventory.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
• Report to garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.
• Coordinate and work in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
• Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.
• Check all vehicles and equipment in yard for past due service.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Mechanic. In this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars, trucks and equipment. They will do this by maintaining a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.
