Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an automotive Mechanic to service our vehicles, trucks and equipment. You will perform diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance in a safe, well‑organized shop environment.

Applicants should have 2–3 years as an automotive technician, hold a valid driver’s license and be able to work independently or with a team. ASE certification is a plus, and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • ASE Certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
  • Reporting to the garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.
  • Coordinating and working in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
  • Promptly and accurately completing work orders in a legible manner.
  • Checking all vehicles and equipment in yard for past‑due service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Mechanic. In this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars, trucks and equipment. You will maintain a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem‑solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
