Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a Mechanic to perform repairs on cars, trucks, and equipment. You will diagnose issues, replace engines, steering, transmissions, and brakes, and test drive to assess performance.

You’ll maintain a clean shop and follow safety rules while coordinating with the team. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of automotive technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
  • Reporting to the garage manager when not knowledgeable about certain problems.
  • Coordinating and working in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
  • Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.
  • Checking all vehicles and equipment in the yard for past-due service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Mechanic. In this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars, trucks and equipment. You will maintain a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is a plus.

  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
