Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a qualified Automotive Mechanic for our Indiana shop.

You will perform diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles, trucks and equipment, while adhering to safety rules and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. You should have 2–3 years of automotive technician experience; ASE certification is a plus; a valid driver's license is required; you must work collaboratively with other team members and be able to handle extended hours and

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
ASE Certification is a plus.
Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
Analyzing diagnostic test results.
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
Checking vehicle lighting systems.
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
Maintaining a parts inventory.
Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
Report to garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.
Coordinate and work in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.
Check all vehicles and equipment in yard for past due service.
Other duties as assigned
