Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a skilled automotive mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on company vehicles and equipment. You will maintain a clean, safe shop and follow all safety rules while delivering high-quality workmanship.

The role requires 2–3 years of automotive experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with others and independently. ASE certification is a plus, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Must be mechanic-minded with good problem-solving skills.
• Requires a valid driver's license.

• Regular and reliable attendance, including extended hours or weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on vehicles.
• Analyze diagnostic results.
• Replace engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Check vehicle lighting systems.
• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Maintain detailed service records.
• Coordinate with garage staff and complete work orders accurately.

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Mechanic. In this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars, trucks and equipment. They will do this by maintaining a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results.
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Checking vehicle lighting systems.
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintaining a parts inventory.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
• Report to garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.
• Coordinate and work in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
• Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.
• Check all vehicles and equipment in yard for past due service.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
