Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to perform repairs on our fleet of cars, trucks and equipment. You will maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety rules at all times.

You will run diagnostic tests, analyze results, replace engines, steering, transmissions and braking components, check lighting, and perform routine maintenance. You will also keep detailed records of serviced vehicles and coordinate with team members.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • ASE Certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and organized with attention to detail.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including some extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Run diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyze diagnostic test results.
  • Replace engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
  • Check vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test drive vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintain a parts inventory.
  • Ensure the shop is clean and organized.
  • Report to garage manager when issues arise.
  • Coordinate and work with all personnel.
  • Complete work orders legibly and promptly.
  • Check yard vehicles/equipment for past due service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a Mechanic. In this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars, trucks and equipment. They will do this by maintaining a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
  • Report to garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.
  • Coordinate and work in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
  • Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.
  • Check all vehicles and equipment in yard for past due service.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
