Job summary

Reliant Student Transport, LLC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair our bus fleet to ensure safe, reliable service for students. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and work with the shop team to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience as a mechanic, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong diagnostic skills. Technical certification is preferred, and familiarity with bus systems and safety regulations is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a mechanic or technician.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on buses.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Order and install replacement parts as needed.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and shop staff on complex repairs.
• Follow company and manufacturer safety protocols.

Diesel MechanicPosition: Mechanic / TechnicianPosition Summary:The role of Mechanic / Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing the bus fleet to ensure safe and reliable operation. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and completing repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
