Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to service our Martin Brower shop in Enfield, CT. The role focuses on diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will document work orders in the Enterprise Asset Management system and coordinate preventative maintenance. CDL is highly desired; some locations require it.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid CDL highly desired; mandatory in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Perform complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management safety policies and best practices.

Reyes Fleet Management, 1 of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to perform the repairs and maintenance of our tractor and trailer equipment at our Martin Brower shop in Enfield, CT.

Shift: Full-Time Monday - Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm

Pay: $35.00-40.00/HR based on experience and qualifications

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED with 3 plus years of related experience)
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
