Position: Diesel Mechanic

Position Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy and support equipment at transfer stations and material recovery facilities, ensuring safety and professionalism.

Your Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot heavy equipment issues.
• Perform welding tasks.
• Maintain and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Enhance safety and health standards in the workplace.
• Participate in company meetings, including safety sessions.
• Maintain punctuality and adhere to attendance policies.
• Adapt to changing duties based on business needs.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with vehicle maintenance tools and electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Read and interpret service manuals.
• Prepare work orders and schedules clearly.
• Work effectively in various weather conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's License; CDL B is a plus.
• Own tools required.
• ASE Certification; tow motor and air brake certifications are advantageous.
• 2-5 years of experience in a transport environment.
• Mechanical skills, proactive attitude, and organizational ability.
