Job summary

Mersino Dewatering Incorporated in Michigan is seeking a Mechanic to maintain, service, and repair our fleet of pumps and generators. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, document service activity, and support a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with large equipment preferred.
• Degree or certificate in diesel/heavy-duty repairs desired.
• Planning and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Proficient with diagnostic technology to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
• Computer skills to maintain maintenance and repair records.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain the company’s fleet and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
• Complete service and maintenance on all equipment and perform quality checks.
• Disassemble and assemble pumping equipment and mechanisms as needed.
• Repair and maintain submersible and centrifugal pumps and generators.
• Maintain service records and documentation; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
