Immediately hiring a permanent, full-time, experienced mid-level diesel technician to support our truck fleet at Ryder in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Compensation and Schedule
  • Hourly pay: $25.00 per hour
  • Certification bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification, up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 per quarter, four times a year
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: Second shift, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational, technical certifications, or post-secondary degrees preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance like oil changes, brake, and tire work
  • At least two years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become an employee, you must:

  • Obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks
Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
  • Identify root causes and perform necessary repairs
  • Replace defective components
  • Support facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to understand issues
  • Utilize shop management systems and documentation
  • Follow safety and compliance guidelines
  • Support operations as needed, including service island support
