Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Augusta, ME is hiring a heavy-duty diesel technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $25-$32 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and a benefits package supporting your health and retirement goals.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, diagnosing issues, repairing diesel refuse trucks, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, and preventative maintenance to keep the fleet operating safely and reliably.

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned orleased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensureits ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $25-$32/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 6am-4pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.
