Fraley & Schilling seeks an experienced Diesel Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy vehicles in Rushville, IN. You will diagnose issues, replace major components, and verify performance through test drives while maintaining records and supporting cost containment.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, welding ability, and experience with heavy-vehicle software packages; a technical associate degree is preferred and references are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in the Diesel Maintenance field.
• Associate degree from technical school preferred.
• Experience with Paccar, Davie, Cummins, Wabco, Bendix, Freightliner software.
• Ability to provide 3 professional references.
• Proficient diagnosing and programming using Insight, Diagnostic Link.

Responsabilités

• Perform mechanic maintenance on commercial motor vehicles.
• Inspect and diagnose to identify worn parts.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules.
• Test drive and verify vehicle performance.
• Maintain vehicle records annually.
• Keep shop equipment operating and maintained.
• Contain costs by using warranty options.
• Update knowledge by reading technical publications.
