Randstad USA is hiring a Diesel Fleet Mechanic in Miami, FL. You will oversee the entire repair lifecycle and preventative maintenance for our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, ensuring peak engine performance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Two years of diesel repair and maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical diesel systems.
  • Knowledge of diesel engine components and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnosis, repair and overhaul of diesel engines.
  • Repair, reline, replace and adjust brakes with precision.
  • Weld and cut components as needed for repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues in trucks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized shop and work area.
  • Complete accurate work orders and communicate with supervisors.

salary: $55,000 - $59,000 per year

work hours: 5 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance: Full diesel mechanic – minimum two (2) years of experience diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling diesel engines.Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems components – turbo, fuel injection, A/C, EGR, pumps, alternator, starter, drive train, etc.Knowledge of diesel engine assembly practices, specifications, and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement.
  • Brakes: Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes with precision and expertise.
  • Welding: Utilize your welding and cutting skills to fabricate and repair components.
  • Electrical: Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues, keeping our trucks powered up.
  • Clean Machine: Maintain a clean and organized shop and surrounding areas.
  • Team Player: Adhere to company rules and regulations, complete accurate work orders, and communicate effectively with supervisors.
The essential functions of this role include:
  • working in a smoke free environment
  • wearing steel toe shoes
  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • manual lifting up to 50lbs
  • working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
