Job summary

Randstad USA in Houston is seeking skilled Fleet Diesel Technicians for 1st and 2nd shifts. You will independently perform preventive maintenance, replacements, and diagnostics on heavy-duty diesel trucks to keep our fleet safe and productive.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of commercial diesel experience, proficiency with diagnostic software, and a safety-first mindset. CDL/ASE and CNG experience are preferred; high school education required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience required.
• Experience with electronic diagnostic software preferred.
• CDL, ASE certifications, or experience with CNG systems highly preferred.
• Strong background in heavy truck HVAC/refrigeration, air brakes, and electrical troubleshooting.

Job description

We are seeking skilled Fleet Diesel Technicians to join our team in the Houston area, with immediate openings available across both 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). In this role, you will independently perform routine preventative maintenance, component replacements, and complex diagnostics on a fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks to keep our transport equipment in optimal operating condition. The ideal candidate brings 2 to 4 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience, proficiency with electronic diagnostic software, and a safety-first mindset required for a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment. While a CDL, ASE certifications, and experience with CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) systems are highly preferred, a solid background in heavy truck HVAC/refrigeration, air brakes, and electrical troubleshooting is essential to ensuring our fleet remains safe and compliant.

salary: $75,000 - $91,000 per year
