Job summary

Randstad USA in Bohemia, NY is seeking a hands-on Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy diesel engines, hydraulic networks, and pneumatic braking systems in our fully equipped shop. Shift: First; work hours 7 AM - 3:30 PM.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years of experience and a High School education; equal opportunity employer. You will use computerized diagnostic tools, perform preventive maintenance, and document repairs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in diesel mechanics.
• High School education required.
• Proficiency with diesel systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on diesel equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance: oil changes, brake inspections, fluid flushes.
• Use computerized diagnostic tools to read fault codes and troubleshoot engine issues.
• Fabricate or replace worn components and structural parts; maintain repair logs.
• Adhere to shop safety guidelines and document all repairs.

Keep critical commercial fleets and heavy-duty industrial machinery operating in peak technical condition! We are looking for a skilled, hands-on Diesel Mechanic to perform advanced diagnostic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance overhauls, and complex mechanical repairs across heavy diesel engines, advanced hydraulic networks, and pneumatic braking systems in our fully equipped shop.

salary: $60,000 - $79,999.99 per year

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on diesel equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid flushes.
• Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to read fault codes and troubleshoot engine issues.
• Fabricate, repair, or replace worn mechanical components, linkages, and structural parts.
• Maintain precise repair logs and adhere strictly to shop safety guidelines.
