Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Heavy-Duty Diesel Pistons Operations to develop, test, and improve machinery and processes under engineering leadership. You will design tooling, write analyses, and collaborate with line personnel to implement procedures and resolve issues.

The position requires a manufacturing background, robotics programming experience, and familiarity with Mazak CNC systems and KEYENCE inspection technology. Proficiency with Excel and AutoCAD is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a 4-year college or university.
  • 1 to 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Robotics programming experience (Kawasaki, Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Mazak CNC systems and KEYENCE dimensional inspection technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write task analyses, cost analyses and proposals for implementation of new processes or improvements to existing processes.
  • Select parts and tooling to meet customer specifications and expectations.
  • Work closely with line personnel to ensure newly developed parts and tooling are correctly installed and functioning properly.
  • Confer with established personnel to implement standard operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Develop, plan and model alternate processing methods to test feasibility of new applications of system components.
