Job summary

Green Expert Technology (GreenXT) seeks a Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative to support US Navy fleet operations in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on reviewing engine histories, diesel analysis, and readiness systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with directives.

The candidate brings 8+ years within Navy diesel environments, experience with major engine types, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain upon hire.
• 8+ years Navy Engineman/ diesel background or similar.
• 4+ years in Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS) and Diesel Readiness System (DRS).
• Experience with major engine types used on Navy ships (FM opposed piston, Colt 2.5, PA6B, CAT 3608).
• Familiarity with SAMM, DEPA data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review shipboard diesel engine material history database for assigned hulls.
• Review monthly Doctor diesel engine combustion analysis messages.
• Review diesel engine machinery operating conditions, logistics, repair issues, and electrical/control issues.
• Attend conferences related to Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS).
• Assist Technical Program Manager with metrics presentations and data review.
• Develop Baseline Availability Work Packages (BAWP).
• Provide deck plate training to US Navy crews on DMS/DRS importance.
• Research and present inputs for Diesel Technical Directives.
