Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair major and minor mechanical problems on heavy vehicles and industrial equipment. You will interpret work orders and technical manuals, perform repairs, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires diagnosing faults, adjusting components, and adhering to safety rules. Experience in waste industry maintenance is a plus, and CDL is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in the waste industry is a plus.
• Completion of college or vocational or technical training is a plus.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations is required.
• A valid CDL driver license is a plus.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment.
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals.
• Keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions.
• Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems.
• Obey all workplace health and safety and code of conduct workplace rules.
• Undertake the training and assessment required under the training plan.
