Job summary

LRS is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to maintain, repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial equipment at our West Chicago facility. You will interpret work orders, diagnose faults and perform repairs to ensure safe, reliable operation.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in all weather, and strict adherence to safety standards. ASE certifications and a CDL are a plus, and waste-industry experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine maintenance operations is required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Waste industry experience is a plus.
• CDL license is a plus.
• A S E certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals
• Keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions
• Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems
• Obey all workplace health and safety and code of conduct workplace rules
• Undertake the training and assessment required under the training plan
