Job summary

United Construction & Forestry is seeking a Service Technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial construction and forestry equipment across our Northeast locations. You will follow safety rules, diagnose problems, perform repairs, and keep records of parts and service charges while providing excellent customer service and developing technical skills.

• Must own and maintain own tools (specialty tools provided by dealership).
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions.
• Able to work varying shifts and respond to after-hour calls.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; well organized.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations during work assignments.
• Recondition and repair engines, transmissions, tractors and industrial equipment.
• Diagnose problems and determine needed repairs.
• Keep records for parts and service charges to customers.
• Handle customer problems objectively and tactfully.
• Assist in directing work and training of helpers.
