Qualifications

• Two years as a Tradesman Helper in automotive field or equivalent.
• Graduation from a post-high school diesel technology curriculum.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active Medical Examiner's Certificate on first day of employment.
• PA Class 1/4/7 Inspection Mechanic Certification during probation.
• Pass Department of Transportation's New Mechanic Training during probation.
• CDL endorsements and certifications as required for equipment.
• Drug and Alcohol testing required by Federal Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul cars, trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep vehicles in safe condition.
• Learn diagnostics, adjustments, tune-ups, and part replacements.
• Support official state safety and emissions inspections and documentation.
• Repair and maintain motorized hand tools and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
