Qualifications

• Two years as a Tradesman Helper or graduation from a post-high school diesel technology curriculum or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active understanding of diesel equipment maintenance and repair concepts is expected.
• Willingness to learn and perform duties under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairing cars, trucks, and heavy equipment and help identify issues.
• Participate in preventative maintenance to keep vehicles and equipment in safe condition.
• Help with tune-ups, tire changes, and system repairs (cooling, suspension, electrical, fuel).
• Support state inspections by performing repairs and completing forms.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area; help identify hazards and document findings.
