Qualifications

• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Repair training: assist with repairs and overhauls of cars, trucks, and heavy equipment while learning proper techniques.
• Maintenance skills: participate in preventative maintenance tasks to keep vehicles and equipment in safe working condition.
• Diagnostic learning: use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues and determine repair methods.
• Inspection support: assist with safety and emissions inspections and complete related records and forms.
• Safety practices: learn and follow safety procedures, maintain clean work areas, and report injuries or hazards.
• Field adjustments: perform minor adjustments and support senior mechanics with major repairs and equipment servicing.
