Job summary

lrsrecycles is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair major and minor mechanical problems on heavy vehicles and industrial equipment. You will analyze work orders, determine the scope of repairs, and perform adjustments to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires the ability to work from oral or written orders, strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety and company policies while maintaining equipment in peak condition.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine maintenance operations is required.
• Waste industry experience is a plus.
• Completion of college or vocational or technical training is a plus.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals
• Keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions
• Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems
• Obey all workplace health and safety and code of conduct workplace rules
• Undertake the training and assessment required under the training plan
