Job summary

lrsrecycles seeks a Journeyman Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair heavy vehicles and industrial equipment. You will interpret work orders and manuals, determine the extent of repairs, and ensure systems operate safely and reliably.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, replace parts, and work under the Shop Manager with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all weather conditions in our Michigan facility.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic and problem-solving abilities to identify faults accurately.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and operate under varying weather conditions.
• Interpretation of work orders and manuals to determine scope of repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment.
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals.
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions and determines necessary actions.
• Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts or systems.
• Ensures equipment is clean, lubricated and properly maintained.
• Adheres to health, safety, and code of conduct rules.
• Undertakes required training and assessments under the training plan.
