The The "O" is hiring a Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a fleet of heavy construction equipment supporting active excavation, site-development, and infrastructure projects.

Pay is $35–$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. If you are a skilled mechanic who can troubleshoot problems, work independently, and keep heavy equipment operating safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of hands-on diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Strong experience repairing heavy construction equipment.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, electrical schematics, and repair diagrams.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus but not required.
• Must provide basic hand tools; specialized tools provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy construction equipment.

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Identify equipment issues before major downtime.

NOW HIRING: DIESEL / HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

We are seeking an experienced Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair a fleet of heavy construction equipment supporting active excavation, site-development, and infrastructure projects.

Pay: $35–$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Work On:

• Excavators

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy construction equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, transmission, brake, and fuel systems
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
• Identify equipment issues before they lead to major downtime
• Perform both shop and field repairs
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair needs
• Work with equipment operators and site supervisors to prioritize repairs
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Order parts and coordinate with vendors as needed
• Maintain an organized, safe, and professional work area
• Follow company and job-site safety procedures

What We're Looking For:

• 4-5+ years of hands-on diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred
• Strong experience repairing heavy construction equipment
• Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and mechanical systems
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with diagnostic software such as CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, or similar systems is a major plus
• Ability to read technical manuals, electrical schematics, and repair diagrams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair priorities
• Valid driver's license required
• CDL is a plus, but not required
• Must provide basic hand tools; specialized tools and equipment are provided by the company
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship
