Job summary

Rain for Rent in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Mechanic C to repair and maintain diesel and gasoline industrial and submersible pumps, while representing the company and maintaining positive customer relations. 1–2 years of mechanic experience is preferred.

The position requires flexibility with schedule including evenings and weekends, and a focus on safety, teamwork, and customer service. Training and benefits are provided, with opportunities for growth within a family‑owned company.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanic experience.
• Experience maintaining industrial, mud, vacuum, or submersible pumps.
• Able to read and follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic inspections while learning RFR SOPs.
• Perform engine services including oil changes and fuel filter changes.
• Grease bearings on pumps and wheels as needed.
• Safely operate portable cordless, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• Safely operate shop power tools and read equipment diagrams.
• Receive, inspect, and stock pumps, filters, hoses and tools.
• Read and apply information from parts diagrams and manuals.
• Inspect, test pumps using specifications and document results.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
