Job summary

National Tank & Equipment is seeking a Mechanic in Charlotte to ensure safe, efficient operation of rental equipment. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting, supporting both shop and field operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Ability to read equipment information and complete service documentation.
• Valid driver's license with >3 years and a DOT physical.
• Possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
• Hands-on field service experience and strong customer service skills.
• Provide personal tools and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pumps, engines, tanks, and related rental equipment and document condition.
• Diagnose mechanical, fuel, electrical, and equipment-performance concerns.
• Perform field service and communicate findings, repair needs, and equipment status.
• Verify repairs and confirm equipment is safe and ready for service.
